I agree with the concept of jotting down thoughts, to-do’s and follow ups when I think of them, not sure I’m smarter for doing it. I have found that if I just take a moment and write it down and why, then when I have time I can circle back to my note and do something with it.
It allows my mind to be free of concern if I have done everything and not relying on my memory. During the day I use notebooks and way more then you need to know but also a SmartPen that records my notes in a digital notebook. I have blogged about this before and am now on my 35th notebook and can highly recommend it.
At night I have paper and pen nearby so that as I think of things on the fly I can jot them down and not worry about trying to recall it in the morning.
…An adult has an average of 50,000 thoughts every day. Now try to recall 100 of those thoughts from earlier today. Pretty hard, right?
It’s normal to forget most of them as our brains have to filter out unnecessary information so that we don’t go insane. 1The problem is that we forget a lot of great ideas along the way.
