Fidelity offers not only a Visa but an American Express card that pays 2% into your IRA account. Costco is moving from American Express to Visa in April 2016 in Minnesota. I started 2015 with the Fidelity American Express Card earning 2% and having it deposited into my Fidelity IRA account. With credit card reward programs changing all the time I wanted a card that paid me cash, did not cost me anything and added value to my life. I don’t like cards that offer mileage on airlines as they are constantly changing the programs or have blackout dates for flying and using the mileage. This Visa and American Express card give you 2% back into your IRA account every month. I use the American Express card now at Costco and for all other purchases but when Costco changes to Visa I will be ready with my new Fidelity credit card that will deposit 2% each month into my retirement account.
Action step: Take advantage of the free money that is out there and get this card. It is an easy way to make a deposit into your IRA that will be worth so much more in retirement.
